Gosatomnadzor held events dedicated to the 39th anniversary of the Chernobyl NPP accident

To mark the 39th anniversary of the Chernobyl NPP accident, Ms. Olga Lugovskaya, Head of the Department, and the employees of Gosatomnadzor who participated in the remediation of the accident’s consequences Ms. Larisa Dvorak and Ms. Iryna Prokhorchik took part in a mourning rally in front of the memorial plaque of V. Ignatenko.

On this day, Gosatomnadzor also arranged a meeting between Ms. Olga Lugovskaya and those who were involved in the remediation of the Chernobyl accident’s consequences. The Head of the Department thanked the participants whose efforts significantly contributed to the successful overcoming of the disaster’s consequences in our country. In the course of the event the veterans shared their memories of the remarkable aspects of their activity, remembered by name those who pioneered the “Chernobyl” system, discussed the prospects for further activities aimed at overcoming the consequences of the Chernobyl NPP accident. Ms. Olga Lugovskaya informed the participants about the measures taken by the Department in the field of overcoming the consequences of the Chernobyl NPP accident and the development of a new state programme.

According to the initiative of the veterans’ organization, the liquidators attended the meeting were awarded with the merit badge “For merits in the response to the Chernobyl NPP accident”.

At the end of the meeting Ms. Olga Lugovskaya expressed her wishes of good health and long life to the liquidators!
