International Scientific Conference “Radiobiology and Environmental Safety – 2025” was held in Gomel
The event attracted the leading scientists, researchers and experts from different countries to address the topical issues. Representatives of Gosatomnadzor took part in the event.
The conference agenda covered a wide range of topics, including the issues of radiation and environmental safety, assessment of radiation risks to human health and the environment, methods of radioecological monitoring, current problems of man-made contaminated territories, and etc.
Mr. Dmitry Pavlov, the Deputy Head of Gosatomnadzor, made a welcoming speech. He emphasized the importance of knowledge and experience exchange in the scientific environment in order to implement innovations in practical activities and to improve the development of research areas. In the course of the plenary session the presentation “Transformation of Post-Chernobyl Problems” was presented, which evoked great interest among the attendees.
Both theoretical reports and practical research results were presented during the conference. Participants shared their experience and best practices, discussed the current issues and future prospects. The conference “Radiobiology and Environmental Safety - 2025” facilitated the strengthening of international scientific cooperation and helped to define the effective solutions to ensure radiation safety in the present-day world.
