Representatives of Gosatomnadzor are taking part in the 69th session of the IAEA General Conference

Representatives of Gosatomnadzor as part of the Belarusian delegation are taking part in the 69th session of the IAEA General Conference, which is held in Vienna (Republic of Austria) from September 15 to 19, 2025.

On the margins of the event it is planned to take part in bilateral meetings with representatives and executives of the IAEA’s Department of Safeguards, Department of Nuclear Safety and Security and Department of Technical Cooperation. Furthermore, a number of bilateral meetings on cooperation in the field of nuclear and radiation safety are expected to be held.

According to the delegation’s agenda it is also planned to visit the IAEA’s Incident and Emergency Centre (IEC), in the course of which representatives of Gosatomnadzor will get acquainted with advanced methods of data analysis and processing used in international practice.

The General Conference is the IAEA’s main international forum, during which representatives of its 180 Member States discuss and make decisions on key issues related to nuclear and radiation safety, peaceful use of atomic energy and
the Agency’s technical cooperation. The General Conference sets the IAEA’s direction for the upcoming year, setting the foundation for the IAEA to maintain its effectiveness and meet global need.
